Michael Jackson: 'Was supposed to be in twin towers during 9by11 mishap'
Saturday 17, September 2011
King of Pop Michael Jackson was supposed to be at the World Trade Center for a meeting on the morning of September 11, 2001, according to his brother Jermaine.
The legend had been staying in New York City after performing two tribute concerts at Madison Square Garden prior to the terrorist attacks and was due to meet with business contacts in the doomed skyscrapers.
As Access Hollywood Live was told by Jermaine: "My mother Katherine had stayed up with him all the way until four in the morning and he just slept. He missed his appointments, which was great."
He added that, he immediately called Katherine after learning of the attacks, but his mother assured him that Michael "was fine".
The Jackson brother also dismissed suggestions that Michael struggled with substance abuse, insisting: "[Michael] was not a drug addict."
Jermaine revealed earlier this week that, he plotted an escape plan for Michael in case his brother was convicted of child molestation in 2005.
