Leonardo DiCaprio: Appeals to Californians to support ban shark fin sale
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has called on Californians to support a new bill which seeks to ban the sale of shark fins.
DiCaprio took to Twitter to publicly endorse California Assemblyman Paul Fong's Bill 376, which would make it illegal to buy, sell or own shark fins.
The Hollywood star tweeted: "This is our last shot. Please help."
Other actors like Megan Fox, Edward Norton and Paul Rudd have also lodged their support for Assembly Bill 376."
Leo is an active campaigner for animal rights and environmental responsibility, having famously backed former Vice President Al Gore's Live Earth charity and the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
