Dick Van Dyke, the charming man of eighty two could sing at ease the melodious song of "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" at the Geffen Playhouse during a ceremony that was held in tribute to Annette Bening, the actress and also studio chief namely Robert A. Iger. In this joyous ceremony these two eminent personalities were honored for their contribution for lending support to the world of Art and culture, especially the live theater.
Facing question of his secret of his energy and enthusiasm at such a ripe age , Van Dyke expressed that "The secret to keeping moving," "is keeping moving."
To add more feather to his crown , Dick Van Dyke even has shown a bit of dancing from choreography like "Mary Poppins" along with Broadway stars of "Poppins" and "Mermaid," namely Ashley Brown and Sierra Boggess.
Along with Dick Van Dyke, Julie Andrews chaired the ceremony. In a mood of elation Andrews remarked "It's one of those friendships where we do see each other, occasionally," said Andrews, 72. "Not as much as I like, but it's as if we never said goodbye, and we never did say goodbye." |
