Mark Burnett: Comes back to MTV Movie Awards
Mark Burnett makes a re-entry as executive producer of the MTV Movie Awards. MTV made an announcement that Burnett will direct this ‘anything-can-happen show’ for the second year in a line. The gala 17th annual ceremony will have its live broadcasting from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.
Thanks to Mark Burnett’s maneuvering, MTV show had a rock-n-roll time since it went live for the first time last year. The audiences could easily recount the highlights of this show like Sarah Silverman, the host, making a crude joke at the expense of Paris Hilton. How could one forget the juicy account of how Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell shared a persistent smooch while accepting "best kiss" honors for "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."
It is the promise of Mark Burnett to come up with more surprises this year. He also opined that live telecasting not only makes the show abridged but also the celebrities remain cool and joyful. "The stars don't have a great time sitting there through extremely long commercial (breaks) while everyone's trying to figure out what to do next," he said. "When it's live, it just goes. All those stars left last year, saying, `Oh my god, that was great.'" Mark Burnett adds. |
