 Scarlett Johansson: Fan pays $42,000 for date
Scarlett Johansson has been paid US$40,100 ($42,400) by one of her fan. She has to go on a date with him to meet the screen beauty.
British bidder, known only as 'bossnour' is lucky to beat 170 others to buy two tickets to the premiere of Scarlett's new film "He's Just Not That Into You" in July in either Los Angeles or New York where they will meet the actress, Scarlett Johansson.
All proceeds raised from the eBay auction will go to charity Oxfam America.
In a video shown on the website, Scarlett Johansson said, "Hi, I'm Scarlett Johansson and I am auctioning off two tickets to the world premiere of my new film, "He's Just Not That Into You". This auction benefits Oxfam which in an international relief agency that fights poverty around the world. The winner of the charity auction will not only get to attend the premiere, but 100 per cent of the proceeds go directly to supporting Oxfam's work. So, please bid high! Thank you for your support, and happy bidding!"
Along with the chance to meet Scarlett Johansson, the winner of the auction will also have their hair and make-up done and will arrive at the premiere in a chauffeured car.
Scarlett Johansson has been working with Oxfam since 2005 and travelled to Sri Lanka and India to see their work in action.
Other Oxfam America celebrity auctions currently open include the chance to buy Charlize Theron's dress which she wore to the Cannes Film Festival, and a date with Kristin Davis at the premiere of Sex and the City: The Movie this May.
