Matt Damon: Feels Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie are prisoners to high profile
Oscar-winning star Matt Damon has revealed that he is thankful that he can keep a low profile.
The star confessed that he feels sorry for celebrities who are hounded by the paparazzi, like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
"I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, for instance," Damon told the German television channel TELE 5. "They can't just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident."
The 'Adjustment Bureau' star went on to say that he feels fortunate to be a successful movie star without having to deal with too much scrutiny from the media.
"I'm really lucky, because I have the best of both worlds," he added. "I do the work that I love and need, but don't need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door."
It had been reported in june that the actor's father is suffering from the rare blood cancer multiple myeloma, though he is currently in remission.
Damon selected a script recently for his directorial debut.
The much-voted 'sexiest' star can be seen next in Steven Soderbergh's outbreak thriller 'Contagion'.
