50 Cent: Praises Kelly Rowland as "the most underrated female soloist"
Rapper 50 Cent has praised Kelly Rowland, describing the 'Motivation' singer as "the most underrated female soloist" in the R&B scene today.
While talking to MTV News, 50 Cent said that he is looking forward to Rowland's forthcoming LP Here I Am, as he feels that the release may finally give her the success that she deserves.
"I'm so happy Kelly got that hit record. She's due; she's so due. She's the most underrated female soloist in the game, and it's finally time for her," 50 Cent explained.
The talented artist worked with Rowland on his 2009 track 'Baby By Me', with the former Destiny's Child singer aso starring in its video.
"That's why when it came time to do 'Baby By Me', I wanted her to be in the video, because she was smoking hot everywhere else my record had to be hot at," 50 Cent recalled. "They thought I was doin' her a favour because here in the US, they wasn't hip."
On July 26, Rowland will release 'Here I Am' in the US, with a UK edition due later this year.
Kelly has said that, the album encapsulates the experience of "being a woman" and "feeling amazing".
