Madonna: Life story to be released as comic book
Evergreen 'Material Girl' Madonna's life story will be released later this summer in an autobiographical comic book.
'The Queen of Pop''s career story will be turned into a 32-page comic produced by Bluewater Productions Inc this August, as part of their 'Female Force' collection.
"Our goal is to show the little-known events and influences that resulted in Madonna becoming the phenomenon she remains to this day, more than a quarter-century after she burst upon the scene," Bluewater's executive vice president Jason Schultz said in a statement.
"A visual medium provides perspective that is not only accessible but more relatable to the average person without losing any of the information involved."
Written by C.W. Cooke, this comic book will be illustrated by Michael Johnson.
"Most popstars owe everything to this woman. It's amazing all of the things that she's done in her lifetime, and I have a feeling that this is still only the beginning," Cooke stated.
Other than Madonna, the other female icons to have been featured in the series include Margaret Thatcher, Michelle Obama and Sarah Palin.
The 'Hung Up' singer's manager Guy Oseary recently revealed that the 52-year-old singer will start work on her 12th studio album next month.
