Scott Weiland: Pleads in DUI case
Singer Scott Weiland of the rock band has pleaded innocent to drunk-driving charges following his November arrest in Los Angeles. Weiland's attorney entered the plea on Wednesday for the "Stone Temple Pilots" and "Velvet Revolver" singer, who was not required to appear in court for his arraignment because of the misdemeanor count. His next court date is April 4.
Scott Weiland, 40, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs in L.A. on Nov. 21, and was freed on $40,000 bail the following day.
The singer has met several brushes with the law in recent years.
Scott Weiland was ordered to complete a six-month drug program and serve three years probation after pleading no contest to DUI in July 2004. |
