Sophia Bush: Supports Barack Obama over Osama Bin Laden's death
Actress Sophia Bush has spoken out in support of US President.
The 'One Tree Hill' star defended Barack Obama and the country's armed forces, in the wake of Osama Bin Laden's death earlier this week.
Bush slammed the recent criticism of Obama for potentially allowing an unarmed man to be shot and killed, insisting that regardless of whether Bin Laden was armed or not, his guards definitely were.
"Yes I am aware OB was not armed but his guards were. A fire fight ensued. Our troops were being shot at," Bush posted on Twitter. "We found one of the world's most evil terrorists, we should all rejoice in his capture."
After tweeting about her pride at seeing American citizens chanting "USA" outside the White House, Bush also responded to comments suggesting that it was wrong to celebrate death in this way.
"It's not his death they are cheering," Bush defended. "It's the end of his influence, his vitriol, his psychotic propaganda.
"The world is a better place with him gone. And I for one am proud of the US military for providing all of us with such security."
On Monday, President Obama announced that Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden had been shot and killed in a sting operation in Pakistan.
