Kate Gosselin: Gets sued by marriage counselor
Television personality Kate Gosselin has reportedly been sued by a marriage counseling firm over thousands of dollars worth of unpaid bills.
Creative Energy Options, a Pennsylvania company, filed a suit against the Kate Plus 8 star in the state earlier this week, alleging that she failed to arrange payment for services they provided during her break-up from husband Jon in 2009.
This company claims that Kate requested personnel to "fly to Los Angeles, Califorinia to perform marriage counseling, then refused to pay for services or travel fees", informs TMZ.
Dr. Sylvia Lafair, the C.E.O. president, told the website that she had personally contacted Kate in the hope of resolving the financial matter in a straightforward way, but was unsuccessful and felt that legal action was the only way to ensure the company was paid.
"There are commitments that people make... and they should be followed through," Lafair said.
For the damages, they are asking for $10,476 (£6,419).
Recently, Kate claimed that she is keeping the peace with Jon following their split for he sake of their eight children.
