Lindsay Lohan: Defended by dad as being 'innocent'

Actress Lindsay Lohan's father Michael has defended his daughter over claims that she physically and verbally attacked a rehab employee.

Allegedly, former Betty Ford technician Dawn Holland received a sprained wrist during a supposed altercation with the Mean Girls star, which occurred after she reportedly refused to be breathalysed.

Though, the actress's estranged father Michael has backed the 24-year-old's insistence that she was the real victim, stating that Holland had targeted Lohan since her first day of treatment.

He told BANG Showbiz: "The woman who claims she was attacked in the house had it out for Lindsay since day one. She didn't want her to drive and didn't want to give her any passes to go out."

Of suggestions that his daughter had stayed out partying beyond her curfew, Michael argued: "Lindsay had gone to get her hair done with two girls from Betty Ford. While Lindsay was at the salon, the two girls left for a bit. After the girls got back to pick up Lindsay, they returned to Betty Ford ten minutes late.

"When they walked in, instead of the Betty Ford staffer addressing all the girls, she grabbed Lindsay by the arm and told her she needed to take a urine sample immediately. Lindsay told the woman, 'Get your hands off me', and brushed her away. Lindsay never assaulted her."

In the meantime, TMZ alleges that Lohan had been reluctant to take a breathalyser test because her mother Dina assured her that she was under no obligation to do so.

In a report filed with the centre, Holland claimed: "[Lindsay] yelled at me that she was talking to her mother and her mother told her she didn't have to breathalyse. She asked me if I wanted to speak to her mother but would never hand me the phone."

Holland has since been fired from her position for talking about the incident to the press.
