 Jack Nicholson: Backs Hillary Clinton
With only hours until the polls open on Super Tuesday, even more stars are getting active and lending their support to their favorite political candidates, but it’s the Democratic hopefuls who are splitting the celebrity vote as well as additional bolstering by loyal top-name supporters – are adding further rhetoric to the race.
Among the latest names to rally ’round a hopeful is Jack Nicholson, who on Monday revealed his support of Democrat Hillary Clinton on the Rick Dees in the Morning Show on Los Angeles’s Movin’ 93.9FM.
“I think the Democrats are gonna have a good candidate whoever that might be. I happen to be in Senator Clinton’s camp because I think she’s the best man for the job,” Jack Nicholson told Dees. “This is serious. This isn’t fooling around. This is the presidency”.
Jack Nicholson’s move, which puts him in the same league as longtime Clinton boosters Barbra Streisand.
Jack Nicholson isn’t the only heavyweight star to recently lend his support to the New York Senator. “Ugly Betty’s” America Ferrera and fellow actress Amber Tambyln joined Hillary’s daughter, Chelsea Clinton, at a host of California colleges and universities over the weekend, hoping to encourage more people to get out and vote Hillary.
Oprah Winfrey continued her push for Senator Barack Obama at UCLA over the weekend. Also, celebs including Scarlett Johansson lent their singing voices to "Yes, We Can," a music video supporting Obama.
One person who seems to like both candidates equally however is the always-opinionated Rosie O’Donnell. According to the star, “It's still early yet, but so far I find both candidates believable".
