Michael Jackson: World's most downloaded artist

The King of Pop lives on.

Michael Jackson has been named the most downloaded artist in the world.

According to MTV, data from the Nokia Ovi Music Store places the late star ahead of Lady GaGa, Elvis Presley, the Black Eyed Peas and Rihanna.

The singer is reportedly most popular in India, where 26% of all Ovi downloads are of his songs.

The increase in popularity in tracks like 'Beat It' and 'Billie Jean' is thought to be due to the anniversary of Jackson's death on June 25.
