 Lindsay Lohan: Sobriety setback
Lindsay Lohan broke and suffered a setback in her sobriety over New Years. Lindsay Lohan, 21, renowned actress spent most of her summer in a Utah rehab clinic for treatment of her alcohol and drug addictions. Her lawyer says, but is "back on track." Lindsay Lohan was released in October and remained sober until New Years Eve when she was spotted drinking a bottle of champagne.
Lindsay Lohan's attorney, Blair Berk, said Thursday in a statement, "After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year's Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay immediately stopped, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track." "There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay Lohan has to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world."
Lindsay Lohan was in Italy to receive an award at the 12th Annual Capri Hollywood International Film Festival. In a video, she is seen thanking organizers for inviting her to the festival, giving a shout out to John Malkovich, then later taking a swig from a bottle of champagne while on the dance floor.
Lindsay Lohan pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges in two arrests earlier in the year.
As a result, she served 84 minutes in jail in November. She also was sentenced to three years' probation, required to complete an 18-month alcohol-education program and spend 30 days in a residential rehabilitation clinic.
