17 year old Jordin Sparks has become the youngest ever winner of 'American Idol'. Jordin (born on December 22, 1989 in Staten Island, New York) is an American singer. She was declared the winner of the sixth season of the reality television show American Idol On May 23, 2007. She is also the only winner from the Southwest, rather than the traditional American South. Her reaction after winning was "Thank you so much for everything - Mom and Dad, I love you! "It just turned out pretty cool, I guess." Emotional Jordin also said "I can't thank you enough!", while happy tears streaming down her face, after knowing she had received the majority of a record 74 million votes.
