The Rolling Stones: Hopes to tour in 2010
Ronnie Wood, the guitarist and bassist of the English rock band The Rolling Stones, hinted that the band might be set to begin touring again. He hopes to tour with The Rolling Stones in 2010.
Wood revealed his desires at the Classic Rock Awards in London yesterday. He won the outstanding contribution honour at the Classic Rock Awards.
The musician said, "It means a lot. It's about time - I've never had one just for myself".
The 62 year old Wood, who has also played with The Faces, was rewarded for his "ageless presence on the scene".
Wood told to BBC 6 Music, "It's all very good. I saw Mick (Jagger) and Charlie (Watts) last week. Everything is great".
When asked if he is interested to get back on stage again, he replied, "Yeah, well I just did that with The Faces, but I'm ready to rock".
The Rolling Stones played their last concert of "A Bigger Bang Tour" at the O2 Arena in London, England on 26 August 2007.
