Sir Elton John: Hopes to return to stage after recovery
Sir Elton John was forced to cancel 3 gigs in the United States as he had to be hospitalised due to flu.
His spokesman, Gary Farrow said on Monday that the pop star is recovering in hospital from a serious case of e-coli bacterial infection and influenza and he hopes to be released soon.
Sir Elton intends to return to the stage soon and rejoin the "Face2Face" tour later in the month when he and Billy Joel play concerts at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
The 62-year-old British pop star postponed 5 shows in England and Ireland starting with one in Sheffield, on October 23. His Web site says he was advised by his doctor to postpone dates in Seattle and Portland.
Farrow said the singer was in the hospital as he suffered a "bad case of the flu and a minor case of e-coli." He confirmed that JOhn was now "absolutely fine."
According to Farrow, the singer has rescheduled previously canceled dates during the European leg of his world tour.
