Metallica: Offers reward for missing fan
American heavy metal band Metallica has pledged $50,000 to aid in the search for a girl who disappeared at one of their concerts.
Police is searching for the 20 year old blond-haired, blue-eyed Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, who was last seen on the evening of Saturday, October 17 outside the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Morgan went to the show with her friends but somehow she found herself outside the arena and unable to get back in. She rang her friends and said she would make her own way home.
Morgan's purse and phone were found in a parking lot of the venue the next day.
Harrington's parents have also offered $100,000 for the safe return of their daughter or for information leading to the arrest of whoever is responsible for her disappearance. They have also set up a website, findmorgan.com.
The band has also made an appeal on its official website along with photos of Harrington under the headline, "One Of Our Fans Is Missing".
Metallica posted, "Morgan has blond hair and blue eyes, is 5'6", 120 lbs., and was wearing a black 'Pantera' T-shirt, black skirt, and black boots. She was not carrying ID or a cell phone. Morgan was separated from her friends shortly before 9:00 pm at the venue. Police have been searching the area since Monday".
Metallica requested everybody to come forward if anybody can give information regarding the disappearance of the girl.
