 George Clooney: Project gets signal to proceed
"Delta Blues", a drama pilot executive produced by George Clooney, has got green light from TNT.
The project, from George Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures and Warner Horizon, has been written by Liz Garcia ("Cold Case") and Josh Harto. The project centers on an outstanding but unusual Memphis cop who moonlights as an Elvis impersonator and lives with his mother.
The project was put in development at TNT about one and half year ago and was included in the cable network's development slate during its May 2008 "upfront" presentation to advertisers.
The cable network TNT has been high on cop dramas, showing such series as "Saving Grace", "The Closer" and "Dark Blue".
George Clooney, Grant Heslov, Liz Garcia and Josh Harto are executive producing the "Delta Blues".
