Kanye West: Got clearance in airport brawl
On Friday a judge cleared off rap singer Kanye West from the criminal charges following a scuffle with paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport last year. However he has to undergo completion of community service. A spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney has confirmed this.
Grammy award-winning singer Kanye West, who has often captured media attention with public outbursts, and his manager were charged on March with battery, theft and vandalism after September 11, 2008 confrontation with a photographer.
Kanye West, whose hits include "Jesus Walks" and "Hey Mama," and the manager was released on bail hours after their arrest.
According to L.A. City Attorney's Office spokesman Frank Mateljan on Friday the judge added that the charges would be dismissed if they performed fifty community service hours. It is also reported that the two have already completed an anger management course.
The incident rattled nerves at the airport during the 7th anniversary of the day of the September 11 attacks. It was not the last time that West had been in trouble for a public outburst.
