 Angie Harmon: Set to star in TNT's "Rizzoli"
American fashion model and actress Angie Harmon has signed on to star in TNT's crime drama. She will join the drama, "Rizzoli", with a starring role.
Harmon's casting in the pilot based on Tess Gerritson's popular Jane Rizzoli mystery novels.
The pilot has been written by Janet Tamaro ("Bones"). The 37 year old Harmon will play the title role, Jane Rizzoli, a Boston detective.
The books and the TV adaptation center on Rizzoli, who works on her cases with medical examiner Maura Isles, a role that has not been cast yet.
Harmon, who most recently starred in ABC's Tuesday evening drama "Women's Murder Club", has also co-starred opposite Harry Connick Jr. in the Lifetime movie "Living Proof".
