Alexandra Burke: Tops UK single charts
Last year's X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has beaten BRIT Award winner Robbie Williams to grab the top of the UK single charts with her single "Bad Boys", the Official Charts Company said on Sunday.
"Bad Boys", featuring Flo Rida, is her third consecutive number-one single. Her first single, a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", was last year's Christmas number one after Burke won the fifth series of ITV's talent search competition.
According to the Official UK Charts Company, "Bad Boys" has also become the fastest-selling single so far this year, beating Bonkers by Dizzy Rascal by a considerable margin.
Burke's another album, "Overcome", is out today.
Robbie Williams' comeback single "Bodies" took the second place in the charts.
Last week's number one, Chipmunk's "Oopsy Daisy", slipped to number three.
British indie rock band Editors' third album "In This Light And On This Evening" hit No. 1, while Chipmunk's album "I Am Chipmunk" debuted at No. 2 in the album charts.
