Lindsay Lohan: Judge extends probation period
Lindsay Lohan's probation for a drink driving conviction gets extended for another year!
The actress received an order to appear in court for failing to show up for rehab classes as part of her DUI sentence.
After being convicted of drink driving and other charges in August 2007, Lohan was told to complete an 18-month alcohol awareness programme.
Shawn Chapman Holley, the lawyer of Lohan explained that there was a confusion regarding when his client would attend a couple of sessions as she was going away from LA to work on a film and her time of return wasn't confirmed.
Superior Court judge Marsha Revel accepted the explanation but added one year to Lohan's three-year probation sentence so she could have time to finish all of her rehab.
She told Lohan: "This has to be a top priority, I would love to congratulate you rather than admonish you."
Lohan was arrested for drink driving and cocaine possession in August 2007, just two months after he arrest for driving under the infuence of alcohol.
She was sentenced to one day in jail, community service and three years probation to include the alcohol awareness sessions.
