Ellen Page: To write comedy series for HBO
Oscar and Golden Globe nominated actress Ellen Page has entered into the TV world by becoming a writer-producer. She has signed a deal to write and produce a comedy for HBO.
Ellen Page, who shot to fame with her role in "Juno", will write the script of "Stitch N' Bitch" along with two other actors, Alia Shawkat and Sean Tillmann. All three of them will also executive produce the comedy which follows two painfully cool hipster girls as they relocate from Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood to Los Angeles' Silver Lake enclave in hopes of becoming artists -- of any kind. They might also star in the single-camera comedy.
Ellen Page and Alia Shawkat have already worked together on the Drew Barrymore-directed "Whip It". Sean Tillmann is a singer and songwriter.
Page will be seen in the upcoming movie "Inception" opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Alia Shawkat can be seen in "Arrested Development".
