 Padma Lakshmi: Pregnant with first child
"Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi has made no secret of her love of food, and now the model has a reason to indulge in every craving. The reason is that she is pregnant.
Thirty nine year old Padma is expecting her first child. A representative for the star has confirmed this to the reporters of a famous news magazine.
The news is really happy for the lady as she suffers from endometriosis, which in some cases can lead to infertility.
Her representative further stated, "As a result of her condition, this pregnancy has been referred to by her physician as nothing short of a medical miracle, and due to its delicate nature, we ask/implore the press to respect Ms. Lakshmi's privacy at this time."
However no details about the father of the baby were available.
Padma Lakshmi was previously married to "Satanic Versus" author Salman Rushdie. However the two divorced after three years of marriage in the year 2007.
The star showed off her baby bump on the red carpet at the Emmys last month.
