John C. Reilly: Goes to Cedar Rapids
Actor John C. Reilly has signed on to star in the comedy "Cedar Rapids". Ed Helms has already joined the comedy for the lead role.
The story of the film centers on a wholesome and naive small-town Wisconsin man who, after his role model dies, must represent his company at a regional insurance conference in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where his mind is blown by the big-town experience.
Helms will play a Wisconsin man and Reilly will play a fellow delegate who sees the conference as a vacation time to break loose from his usual family existence.
The screenplay has been written by Phil Johnston.
Miguel Arteta, director of "The Good Girl" and the upcoming "Youth in Revolt", will direct the movie.
