Gwen Stefani: London house burgled
The burglars have broken down the front door of Gwen Stefani's home in Primrose Hill on Saturday night while the singer was at a concert in Singapore.
Fortunately they were unable to break into the upstairs flat Gwen shares with her husband Gavin Rossdale, also a singer. However, the thieves managed to break into the other ground-floor flat which the rock couple rent out to Dame Elizabeth Forgan, media executive and head of the Arts Council. They stole jewellery from Forgan's flat.
The 65 year old Dame Elizabeth Forgan was not at home when the incident took place.
Gwen Stefani, 39, and Gavin Rossdale, 43, live in the top floors of the mansion block, with their children Kingston, 3, and Zuma, 1.
A neighbour said, "We heard a loud crashing sound but thought it was our sons and their friends in the basement".
But no one has noticed that the door was smashed in. A passer-by, who saw the smashed door, raised the alarm and flagged down a police car.
Dame Elizabeth said that she was speaking to her insurance company to assess the damage.
