Jennifer Hudson: Speaks about motherhood
Jennifer Hudson found it tough to be away from her one-month-old son to perform at 'VH1 Divas' on Thursday night. Son Daniel David Otunga - named after her fiance - was in her mind through out the evening.
While talking to Access Hollywood regarding leaving her baby behind, Hudson said: "It’s always hard, I have got to get adjusted to it because, it’s like, I don’t ever leave him. He’s so precious."
In fact she had so much been into her motherhood that she only recently found out about 'American Idol' judge's chair which was vacated by Paula Abdul this summer, is being filled by Ellen DeGeneres.
Jennifer said of her stunned reaction: "'Really?' I am just now hearing about that. I guess I’ve been tucked away with the baby because I was like... I love Ellen."
The Grammy and Oscar winnner performed at the "VH1 Divas" concert on Thursday. Prior to the show, she said that her son is really into music like she was when she was a child.
And while Hudson thinks her son is in tune with music, she says nothing is set in stone, and she's looking forward to seeing "who he becomes, who he takes after, what he decides to do, if he'll sing."
The twenty seven-year-old singer said being pregnant was a beautiful experience and good for her.
She suffered tragedy last year when her mother, brother and nephew were slain.
Jennifer was mum on rumors that she may return to 'Sex and The City 2'. "I don’t know. I’m going to leave that to Sarah Jessica Parker and Michael Patrick King to tell you that," she said.
