Chris Brown: Begins community service in Virginia
R&B singer Chris Brown spent in the company of police on Wednesday and began working off his 180 days of community labor. He cleared weeds and debris at police horse stables.
Brown worked along with two others who were serving probation. They cleared tall weeds and brush by hand and with yard tools.
Police officers were there to watch them. Paparazzi snapped pictures of Brown.
Dressed in an orange vest, white tank top, baggy jeans and red baseball cap, Brown was cleaning up the grounds. He did not speak to the media but he waved to fans who saw him working.
Richmond Police spokesman Gene Lepley said that Brown's schedule, including work hours and days, will be flexible, and he will be performing different types of manual labor.
Lepley refused to say when or where Brown will be working.
Lepley told, "We'll just take a look at it day by day and certainly would ask for the cooperation of the public and Chris' fans so that he is able to satisfy the work requirements".
In addition to the community labor, Brown has also been sentenced in California last month to five years' probation and a year of domestic violence counseling for the February attack.
