Henry Gibson: Cast member of "Laugh-In" dies
Henry Gibson, a veteran character actor, died on September 14 at his home in Malibu after a brief battle with cancer, a week before his 74th birthday. He was 73.
Henry Gibson came to fame in the late 1960s when he was cast as a member of "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In". He is also best known for his recurring role as Judge Clark Brown on "Boston Legal" and "Nashville".
Henry Gibson was a leading American actor and songwriter. His performing career began at the age of seven. He appeared in many stage and theater productions.
Gibson has appeared in four films directed by Robert Altman: "The Long Goodbye" (1973), "A Perfect Couple" (1979), and "Health" (1980). He has also appeared in "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" (1980).
Henry Gibson was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Nashville and won the National Society of Film Critics award for his role of country music singer Haven Hamilton.
Gibson is survived by three sons.
