Prince Harry Windsor: Inherits millions from Diana's estate
Prince Harry Windsor has become a multi-millionaire on his 25th birthday. Prince has inherited an estimated £9 million share of his mother's estate after he turned 25 years old today.
Although Prince will not be allowed to get access to the full amount. He is now entitled to part of the inheritance left to him by his mother Diana, Princess of Wales. He will receive £300,000 worth of interest each year.
Both the Prince and his brother William must have to wait until they turn 30 to get direct access to the millions left to them.
Both the princes originally inherited roughly £6.5 million when Princess Diana died, but the total rose significantly after gaining substantial interest from investments.
The sum is believed to be made up of parts of the princess's estate, dresses and jewellery.
But today, the third in line to the throne will probably not celebrate his birthday in the usual style. He will spend the day flying Squirrel helicopters as part of his routine pilot training at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire.
Prince Harry Windsor is currently training to become an Army Air Corps helicopter pilot, and as a Lieutenant in the British Army is on a pay band of £29,006 to £32,061.
