Kylie Minogue: Thanks Abba for music
Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue's lifelong dream has been fulfilled by performing alongside Abba songwriter Benny Andersson at the BBC's Abba tribute concert.
On Sunday, the 41 year old Minogue made a special appearance on the stage towards the end of the three-hour event in London's Hyde Park to sing the ABBA's 1980 hit "Super Trouper".
The singer of "Can't Get You out of My Head" stole the show with her performance. Later, she performed "When All Is Said and Done" with Benny Andersson.
Minogue said, "This really is a dream come true for me. I'm a huge ABBA fan so to perform with Benny is real privilege". She thanked Abba.
It was Kylie Minogue's only UK performance of the year.
Chaka Khan, Jamie Cullum, Jason Donovan and Lulu were among the other music stars to perform at the tribute concert.
The concert was broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 and hosted by DJ Chris Evans with lyricist Sir Tim Rice and Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard.
At the end of the evening, Abba's Bjorn Ulvaeus told the 36,000-strong audience, "I'm not a nostalgic person but tonight took me back. Life can be pretty wonderful. Thank you for giving us this unforgettable experience".
