Susan Boyle: Receives hearty welcome at Los Angeles
Susan Boyle was mobbed by fans as she arrived Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The Britain's Got Talent runner up is due to make her first US singing appearance on the final of America's Got Talent with a cover of Rolling Stones hit Wild Horses.
A crowd of over two thousand, some holding banners and chanting: "We love Susan" had gathered to welcome the former church worker. When she saw the waiting fans, a visibly taken aback Susan gasped: "Oh my word, is this for me?"
Boyle, forty eight, blew kisses and waved as she was mobbed by fans and up to fifty paparazzi photographers, at LAX airport.
The star had flown first-class from the UK with an entourage of stylists and assistants.
On board she toasted her first trip outside Europe with glass of champagne before sticking to water and lemon to preserve her voice.
It took half an hour for the singer to make it to the limo which whisked her away to a five star hotel.
Susan, who has become a huge star in America with previous appearances via satellite on shows including Oprah Winfrey and David Letterman, is going to perform on Wednesday's America's Got Talent final.
She is expected to sing her new single, Rolling Stones cover Wild Horses, and the song which originally made her famous - I Dreamed A Dream.
Piers Morgan,a former judge on Britain's Got Talent and has championed Boyle, also appears in the US version.
Her number one Twitter fans Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are expected to visit her backstage on Wednesday night. |
