Chris Brown: Still loves Rihanna
R&B singer Chris Brown, who was sentenced to five years' probation and six months of community labor last week for assaulting Rihanna, said that he still loves Rihanna and details of the assault are obscured in his memory roughly six months later.
Chris Brown is ashamed and sorry and wished it never happened.
After he pleaded guilty to beating ex-girlfriend, Brown has publicly apologized but never sat for any media interviews.
But after his sentencing, the 20 year old Brown sat down with Larry King Live and People magazine to talk about the incident.
In the interview which airs on Wednesday night on CNN's "Larry King Live", King asked Brown if he could remember the event.
In reply, Brown said, "No".
But, in a statement issued by People late Monday, Brown sought to clarify his remarks to King by saying he, in fact, remembered the event. Brown said that King asked him same question several times and each time he answered that he did not believe it was appropriate to give details of the night because "it really wasn't fair to Rihanna".
Brown told the magazine, "The fifth time or whatever it was, I just misspoke".
Then he said, "Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. I never fell out of love with her. That just wouldn't go away".
