 Amy Winehouse: David Gest lends a shoulder over divorce
David Gest lends a shoulder to the troubled singer Amy Winehouse, through her divorce from Blake Fielder-Civil.
According to reports, the singer met Gest, the 'I'm A Celebrity' star, through mutual friend Matt Willis.
A reputed news agency has reported that the pair have met up twice this week itself. But Winehouse apparently broke into tears during their first meeting at a London pub.
A source said: "A few drinks did nothing to cheer her and she ended up sobbing her eyes out in the pub. She was inconsolable. David put his arm around her to try and soothe her."
"But she was still crying when they decided to call it a night and get her a cab." the source added.
However, Gest found her in a better mood when he invited her for dinner on Tuesday.
"David has been a support to Amy through a low point,” the source said.
A high court judge awarded Winehouse and Fielder-Civil a Decree Nisi last month.
The couple married in May 2007. |
