Sanya Richards: Wins women's 400m title
Sanya Richard, track and field athlete of United States, danced a little like Usain Bolt on Tuesday night after winning the women's 400 metres world title in sparkling fashion.
The 24 year old Richards, who won bronze at last year's Olympic Games, took 49.00 seconds to finish the race.
After winning, Richards said, "Finally, I have owned a major title. Finally the hard work has paid off. I felt very confident, I hit my marks in the rounds. Before, I had difficulties standing the pressure. But now I am a better athlete".
Jamaica born Sanya Richards also won two Olympic Gold medals in the 4×400m relay at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Richards left Jamaica for the USA at the age of 12 and became a US citizen in May 2002.
Richards is also a singer and a dancer. She has been engaged to current New York Giants cornerback & Super Bowl champion, Aaron Ross. They have been dating since 2003. They have plan to get marry in late February.
