Paul McCartney: Childhood photo up for auction
A childhood photograph of Sir Paul McCartney , the leged of Beatles, is due to go under the hammer. This pic was previously not seen.
In the 1952 picture, a young Paul is seen to be engrossed in a comic as he is surrounded by classmates from Liverpool's Joseph Williams School.
The photo was handed over by an unidentified woman to the Beatles Shop. It has become one of the three hundred other items of the band's memorabilia to be auctioned.
The sale is expected to attract thousands of fans from across the globe. It is due to be held at the Paul McCartney Auditorium inside Liverpool's Institute of Performing Arts, on August 29.
Among the items is a tea-stained lithograph of producer Sir George Martin's score for the song Yesterday, and a class photograph of drummer Ringo Starr, aged eight. |
