Carey Mulligan: Joins 'Wall Street 2'
British actress Carey Mulligan has joined the cast of "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps".
Mulligan will act along with Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf and Frank Langella in the Oliver Stone sequel to Wall Street (1987).
The 24 year old Mulligan will play the role of Winnie Gekko, Gordon Gekko's daughter, in the sequel. Michael Douglas, who has already played the role of Gordon Gekko in Wall Street, will play the same role in the current sequel.
Mulligan's character is romantically linked to LaBeouf's, a young Wall Street broker on his way up.
Allan Loeb has written the script.
Mulligan began her career with the role of Kitty Bennett, one of Keira Knightley's little sisters, in the 2005 movie version of the Jane Austen novel "Pride & Prejudice".
Mulligan has also performed in "An Education", which will be released on October 9, 2009. She has a bit part in "Public Enemies".
"Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps" is Carey Mulligan's first major studio role.
