 Madonna: Slovenian concert cancelled
Pop diva Madonna has cancelled her concert in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana on 20th August. The organizer of the Sticky and Sweet tour has said this on Friday.
In a statement Live Nation, the tour organizer for Eastern Europe, said, "Due to unexpected logistic difficulties, Madonna's concert scheduled for August 20 at the Ljubljana hypodrome has been cancelled”.
It said that the concerts in Munich and Budapest, that are scheduled to be held on August 18 and 22, respectively, would run as planned.
Earlier this week Slovenian media reported that the concert would be cancelled due to poor tickets sales.
A popular news website reported on Thursday that only 7,000 tickets out of 63,000 had been sold so far.
All the Slovenian music lovers often have to travel neighboring Italy, Austria and Croatia to see their idols as large tours often skip the small country of two million people for fear of poor ticket sales.
