Paula Abdul: Shifts through "many wonderful" offers
An in-demand Paula Abdul said that she had no official post-American Idol plans till date. However she is trying to take in the "many wonderful" offers that she had received in the wake of her surprise departure.
Abdul told a famous news agency, "At this point, there are so many wonderful things that are being offered to me," "And I got to take a deep breath, sleep a little ... and go through everything."
Katy Perry, Victoria Beckham are scheduled to appear as guest judges on American Idol
Among them there is a spot on So You Think You Can Dance. The dance executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe has been vocal about having the free agent on the series in some capacity. However Paula Abdul said that she did not discuss "anything with anyone" yet.
She remarked, "I am not going to rule that out. I'm a dancer, a choreographer. Dance is a love of mine," "It's all happening within the next couple of weeks."
Paula Abdul, who, according to Fox Entertainment Chairman Peter Rice, turned down a "substantial raise" to stay on Idol, did not say if she could renegotiate or what it would take for her to come back to the series. Rice, however, remarked that the "negotiations have concluded."
Although Paula Abdul hasn't taken any new jobs yet, she has been keeping busy. On Thursday, she filmed her second guest appearance on the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva in Peachtree City, Ga. Abdul has played a judge doling out support and advice to Brooke Elliott's Jane in a dream sequence. She said, "I'm good at that," Abdul said. "I think I've been good at that since I was a little girl. Just rooting people on and trying to get people to remember to believe in themselves."
Her appearances will be aired on Sept. 13 and Oct. 11 and she hoped that it was not the end of her Diva-dom.
She remarked, "I'm never going to change who I am at the core. I'm a hard worker, I love working hard and nothing gives me more joy than to be on a project and working with people who are trying to achieve the same goal,""And that's where I'm at right now."
