Mischa Barton: Released from hospital
Actress Mischa Barton has left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's psychiatric department after being treated for an undisclosed medical condition, her publicist said.
Craig Schneider, Barton's representative, said on Monday that the 23 year old actress is "out of the hospital and continuing to improve in anticipation of resuming production as planned".
Ashton Kutcher, the creator of the new CW series "The Beautiful Life", said that Barton is "doing great" following her hospitalization and is expected to join the cast soon.
Mischa Barton, who shot to fame playing Marissa Cooper in teen drama "The OC", will play a pill-popping model in "The Beautiful Life", scheduled to begin filming on Friday.
The actress was hospitalized after Los Angeles police responded to a non-911 call to her house on July 15.
Last week, a spokesman from CW for the show said that production was pushed back from July 22 to July 31, but not because of Barton.
Kutcher said Barton will fly to New York to start filming soon.
