Amy Winehouse: In court on fan assault charge
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has arrived at a London courthouse this morning to face trial for assault.
The 25 year old star is accused of attacking a woman at a charity ball last September.
Dancer Sherene Flash alleged that Winehouse has hit on her eye after she asked the singer to take a picture.
At an earlier hearing, Winehouse pleaded not guilty to the charge that she attacked Sherene Flash in Berkeley Square, central London, last September.
The singer arrived at London's City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday morning dressed in a sober gray suit.
Winehouse recently returned to UK after an extended eight-month break in Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Last week a judge granted her a divorce from her husband of two years, Blake Fielder-Civil.
Winehouse's 2003 debut album "Frank" was commercially and critically successful in her native Britain. But, she shot to stardom with the Grammy-winning album "Back to Black" in 2006. The album led to six Grammy Award nominations and won five.
