Michael Jackson: Mother refused to contest for will

Katherine Jackson will not contest the will of her son, Michael Jackson. A lawyer for the grieving mother has made the confirmation of the news on Monday.

In a statement to a famous news channel Katherine Jackson's lawyer, Londell McMillan, said, "Despite false reports, neither Mrs. Jackson nor any of her lawyers has or will be contesting the will." "Nor has she decided whether or not to raise any challenge to the appointment of the executors named in the will or whether to seek the appointment of an additional co-executor. Her top priority remains the care of her son's three children."

Katherine Jackson was appointed temporary guardian of Michael Jackson's children namely Prince Michael I, 12; Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11; and Prince Michael II, 7 ; following the pop star's death on 25th June.

Michael Jackson named his mother as guardian to his children in his will. However no final decision has been made.

John Branca and John McClain were named as the executors in Michael Jackson's will and reports had surfaced that Katherine Jackson planned to challenge their status.

In the new statement, McMillan said that he and his client will work with the executors, whom he referred to as "temporary."

McMillan's statement continued, "We remain in communication with the temporary administrators of her son's estate,"  "In order to preserve her legal options, an application was filed this past Friday with the court to confirm that any possible objections Mrs. Jackson might raise at a later time regarding the appointment of executors would not constitute a challenge to the will itself. It is only fair and she has such a right under the law."
