 Diego Maradona: Accused of causing road accident
Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has to appear in court after a car accident in which two young people were slightly injured. The judicial sources have confirmed this news on Friday.
Sources have thrown light on this news of Diego Maradona. Forty eight year old football star who is now Argentina coach, allegedly crashed into a telephone box in which the two people were present in February 2006.
However a date for the trial has yet to be fixed. The former World Cup winner could face up to 3 years of imprisonment.
Born on 30 October 1960 in Lanús, Buenos Aires, Diego Maradona is a former Argentine football player, and current coach of the Argentine national side. He finished first in an internet vote for the FIFA Player of the Century award, and he shared the award with Pele.
