Paul McCartney: Rocks David Letterman show
Sir Paul McCartney has returned to the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City where Beatles made their famous American debut 45 years ago.
This time on Wednesday evening, the former Beatle and multiple Grammy Award winning artist came as first-time guest of talk show host David Letterman and made history again. It was the performance of two songs, the Beatles classic, "Get Back" and a new one, "Sing the Changes," off his latest CD, "Electric Arguments," that really made this feel one of the most special nights in the history. McCartney put on an outdoor show atop the theater's marquee for thousands of fans.
The Beatles made their American television debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show" on February 9, 1964.
McCartney will begin an exclusive U.S. tour on July 17 at Citi Field, which is the New York Mets stadium that opened this year and then he will head to Washington, D.C., Boston, Atlanta, Tulsa before winding up in Dallas on August 19.
