Ryan Reynolds: Says, 'I have every intention of adopting'

Actor Ryan Reynolds said that he might adopt a child in the future, but not because of any celebrity trend.

During an interview with a  famous news magazine Ryan said, "My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time." "I'm very grateful for having my brother in my life."

The star of "The Proposal," Ryan Reynolds who married Scarlett Johansson in September 2008, said that he is a big advocate of giving a needy child a home.

The Canadian actor further said, "I couldn't be more pro-adoption," "There are plenty of kids in the world that need it."

Ryan Reynolds, who grew up with three brothers, also told the magazine that the presence of so many young men in his life as a child, helped him on his path to action roles in movies like "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

He also remarked, "I [learned] how to take a punch from a very early age,"  "I was routinely pummeled into a fine cottage cheese."
