Barack Obama: Expressed views about Michael Jackson
Finally Barack obama has expressed his views about the King of pop. He called Michael Jackson Great – and Tragic.
After a week of the MJ's sudden and shocking death, Obama said, the pop icon will "go down in history as one of our greatest entertainers."
Barack obama, forty seven , is 3 years younger than Jackson. He mentioned: "I grew up on his music,I still have all his stuff on my iPod."
In an interview with a reputed news agency on Thursday, the U.S. president said that he also felt that Jackson lived a "tragic and in many ways sad personal life."
Reportedly, Obama had sent a private letter of condolence to the Jackson family, the contents of which has not been disclosed by either side.
There were controversies at predominantly African-American outlets as Obama did not release a formal public statement upon Jackson's death last week, which is typically done by the White House upon a prominent public figure's death.
Obama waved away any controversy over his weeklong silence, telling the agency's White House correspondent, "Look, you're the first person who's actually asked me about it." |
