Christian Slater: In negotiation to star in ABC series
American actor Christian Slater, who has already starred in films such as "Heathers", "True Romance", "Kuffs" and "He Was a Quiet Man", is reportedly in negotiation with ABC to star in the new series "The Forgotten".
The mystery drama centres on a group of amateur detectives led by a former cop whose 11-year-old daughter was kidnapped three years earlier.
According to a source, Slater will take over from British actor Rupert Penry-Jones as a former cop. He will lead a group of amateur detectives exploring cases forgotten by the legitimate law enforcement establishment.
ABC has scheduled to air "The Forgotten" at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays. The network has also set a September 22 premiere date for the drama.
It will be the second TV drama for Slater after last year's short-lived NBC spy drama "My Own Worst Enemy", for which he received good reviews.
