Michael Jackson, who shocked the world with his sudden death on June 25, was planning a comeback concert. The singer had announced in March that he would perform 50 concerts at the London O2 Arena. The tour was scheduled to start on July 13 and the King of Pop was in the midst of rehearsals at the time of his death.
At a memorial gathering on June 26, the concert organizers announced that the show will go on.
As fans want, Michael Jackson's "This is It" tour will now become a tribute concert.
A source said that there will be tribute concerts finally. Initial discussions are taking place, nothing formal yet, just sounding some artists out and the response has been very positive.
Madonna will perform in the concert along with Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Knowles, Usher and Diddy. She was schedule to appear alongside Jackson in one of his London performances at the O2 Arena.
Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie are also expected to join the concert to pay tribut to the singer.
